I was handpicked by my French teacher, Mme. Cheniaux, to participate in Congrés de la Culture Française en Floride, Florida's largest statewide French competition. The 2026 theme for the competition was Francophone Cinema. I was excited to apply my love for research, French history, and cinema. I created a short documentary describing the evolution of Francophone cinema. Through this experience, I learned how to write compelling scripts and use editing softwares. In the end, I won 2nd place in the short film category!
